Our customers choose to represent themselves and list their properties in the local Multiple Listing Service by owner. To comply with MLS rules, our sellers must offer a sales commission to brokers to advertise their listing.
As a buyer working with our customers you have three choices:
1) Work directly with your favorite buyer's agent to represent you in the transaction. The seller will pay them the commission amount that is advertise in the MLS data base.
2) Represent yourself and work directly with the seller. The seller will pay no commission.
3) Have MLS4owners represent you in the transaction and earn half of the real estate commission back upon closing. This can be thousands of dollars that you can use for down payment, closing costs, or your next vacation. *Use of funds towards down payment would depend upon the loan program.
EXAMPLE: $400,000 sales price
x 3% sales commission = $12,000 Commission dollars.
