We want to thank our customers for their belief in us. Without them we would not have grown to over $200 million in annual property sales since 2001, despite employing no real estate agents. Chris Nye, President/Owner
Chris is responsible for sales and business development. After a career as an officer in Special Forces with the United State Army, Chris began his full-time adventure in real estate in 1992 and started his own brokerage in 1997. In an industry in which the average licensee sells 6 homes a year and the average full-time professional sells 13-15 homes a year, Chris led a team that sold 81 homes in 1998.
With over 100,000 calls to real estate consumers under his belt, in 1999 and 2000 Chris tested several models designed to improve consumer satisfaction with the real estate sales experience. In January 2001 he implemented the MLS4owners.com concept in Western Washington, and the positive response from property owners has been startling.
Chris is a graduate of Niagara University. He has served on the State Department of Licensing Task Force 18.85, which is reviewing and updating the 70 year-old law of real estate licensing; on US Congressman Adam Smith’s Technology Advisory Council; and on the Northwest Multiple Listing Service By-Laws Committee.
Ken Whitney, General Manager/Owner
Ken is responsible for customer service and technology. After sixteen years of management experience in agriculture and professional sports, Ken entered the real estate industry in 1999.
Raised in Tacoma and Fox Island, Ken is a graduate of Stanford University and a Certified Public Accountant with Big Four experience. He has served on the Board of Charles Wright Academy, a K-12 independent school in University Place; and on the Board of Palmer Scholars, a foundation that helps high potential low income students from Pierce County earn a college education.
